After Sète in 2011 and Bordeaux in 2013, Wine Track took place in Burgundy, in Beaune. This was an opportunity to review the developments in analytical techniques, standards and methods and to ensure the identification and authentication of wines and spirits. For this edition, emphasis was placed on two important parameters for the quality and traceability of wines: wood barrels and corks. Consistency sharing and data management traceability always more numerous, was also a focus. The state of the art techniques and tools that contribute to ensure the traceability of wine products should better preserve the authenticity and wine quality, especially against counterfeiting and fraud.
